Meredith Moran is an Associate Director in The Learning Design Group at The Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California, Berkeley. Meredith focuses on elementary science instructional materials design and research, with a specialization in literacy integration. She is an expert in early language and literacy skills that contribute to students’ comprehension and production of oral and written language, particularly in the realm of disciplinary literacy.

Prior to her work at The Lawrence, Meredith was a Kindergarten teacher in California public schools and worked in early literacy and language development research. Meredith holds an MA and PhD in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education, with a Literacy Studies emphasis, from Stanford University and a BA in Psychology and French from University of California, Los Angeles.
